In deep space, you are a lost little moon searching for your planet. You can achieve your quest by changing the scale of planets and stars.
Genre: Puzzle, Cozy

Context
Lunar Quest was my first Game Jam project, organized by Game Maker’s Toolkit around the theme “Build to Scale”. It was also my first game released online.
I decided to participate on my own, with the support of a Sound Designer.

My goals
My goal was to create a small game within 4 days, being the only Developer and Game Designer on the project. With such an interesting theme, I wanted to challenge my creativity and experiment with an original concept.
I also wanted to code the game myself to improve my C# skills, which I had previously learned through self-study.

My Roles

Game Developer

I chose this concept because of its originality and simplicity. It was my first time creating a cozy puzzle game, and I was able to take part in the entire game design process.
Game Designer:
Gameplay Programmer:
As the only programmer on the project, I developed the entire game myself in C#. I also learned how to use FMOD for audio implementation in Unity

Level Design

All Levels
Production
The goal was to create multiple levels using the game's core mechanic: changing the size of the gravity field to move the Little Moon.
This type of 2D Level Design, with its specific rules, was challenging. Each level had to remain simple while still introducing something new. This led me to add several new mechanics in accordance with the game's core pillars.
New mechanics: celestial bodies that change the direction of gravity, unscalable gravity (violet), ghost gravity (gray), and planets that orbit around the gravity fields of other celestial bodies.
